How long before it receives it’s critical re-evaluation?

I don't think St Anger is about the future as an aggregate, unless you have a compelling reading to offer. It's rather a personal album about going through a dark place and forcing your way out through the other side back into the light, hopefully coming out lighter than you went in. It's an auditory catharsis.

That’s a lot of defending for a shitty album. KEK
Cope, retard.

it's already had it's contrarian "it's actually le good" phase for about a decade now

But they were long bitched into silence.

It has all the makings of a modern classic

this is like trying to defend wtf bcnr just released, its not abrasive for most metalheads either, and it kind of a given because they dont like metallica anyway so just stfu

I have never understood the hate for the snare on this album, and the fact that it's still provocative decades later shows how it was the right choice to make

I have never understood the hate for the snare on this album

"le funny trash can snare xD"

sounds like shit 20 years ago

still sounds like shit today

apparently this should mean that it was actually good all along

This would be a 7/10 album if the songs weren't so long. Make 8 min long nu metal songs without solos is retarded idea.

Sometimes.

They even meant to call it Frantic. Woah
