I want one of those mp3 players with a radio built in which you could record onto the device. It'd be comfy listening to the radio on the reg again.
Zoomers have discovered ipods
Kek this millennial retard doesn't realize that flac and 320kpbs mp3 have little to no difference in the way they sound, in fact there're multiple tests online that prove this very point, unless your ears are rotten from listening to shit music from the 90s or whatever the fuck, your 100mb flac music files are not but junk that solely exist to take up space, Keep up with the times old man!
You're too old to hear the difference faggot
MP3s are obsolete. OGG is a much better file due to it's far heightened level of compression with far less loss than MP3.
Yes, the 320kbp vs flac argument is mostly a meme but the efficiency of MP3 is still BTFO by many new formats made in the modern era.
Good. Break free of algorithm slop, kiddos
Still honestly better to have a dedicated music player. If I didn't need a smartphone for work I'd've switched back to a basic years ago
Who cares when the infinitely superior Soulseek is still going strong?
Based
if mp3 is such a good format for music, why haven't they made mp4 yet?
Personally I'm a schizo so I don't trust any cloud sharing. So I use a Galaxy s9. I believe that was the last Phone to feature an auxiliary port as well... I have a new phone but don't use it for music. Looks weird carrying two phones but it actually comes in handy if you meet any strange women lol
Apple should make all this nostalgia hardware man, would probably sell a lot of iPods and iMacs. I mean the computers that are like all pink, purple, green and stuff. Pic related. Except you put all the usual parts inside them.
Gen Z would seriously have hands free orgasms if you said their computer could look like this. Also bonus points if you said it was the LGBTQ rainbow. The purple one says Protect the Dolls on it.
I was also thinking if Apple made a dumb phone it would go off because so many people want a fun flip phone that works well. Just of how people are they could sell it for 500 bucks with 100 bucks of parts and still sell a million of them.
so I don't trust any cloud sharing
I don't trust cloud sharing either. Not for the same reasons as you, but there have been multiple times where information in the cloud suddenly went poof.
Also, I find that cloud stored music is a lot more finnicky to play than just locally stored files.
would probably sell a lot of iPods
The issue with the iPod is that it is offline. Apple's main strategy in music is now through a subscription service. If you suddenly went offline, they couldn't verify if you're still subscribed and would lose them money if you could just keep playing music without giving them money.
just use itunes!
Promoting itunes would divide their userbase into two parts (itunes users, apple music users) and would make them less money in whole.
I agree with everything else though, they need to start doing nostalgia marketing.
