Metalheads have the WORST music taste

No other group compares, they listen to nothing but metal, some classic hard rock and punk at most, but that's it.
If you ask them about any other music outside of those genres they are clueless, they don't know jack shit about it; they'll simply say some stupid shit like "eewww I don't like it metal 4 life".
The rare occasion they like something outside those genres is usually shit, they are genuinely incapable of recognizing good music outside of metal, their heads are deep fried for listening too much noisy garbage music.
They even have the ego big enough to gatekeep metal, as if adding something they don't percieve as metal into their shitty music taints it, what a joke.

Metal is biggest in brown-skinned Asian/island countries. It's been a brown genre for longer than you've been alive. But then again, I wouldn't expect a socially retarded metalhead to know much about anything outside his poster-laden bedroom and methodically stitched battlevest.

I agree, but I still do respect it. That there are music scenes out there that have a heavy cultural element to them and people are passionate exclusively about it. On the other hand you have RYM/AOTY guys who only care about critical consensus music and cannot identify a good album beyond innovation and novelty. Like they enjoy art as this sort of a bug-in-a-jar thing but they have no identity within a specific music subculture.

Metal is my #1 and my most listened to but I also listen to and enjoy country, classic rock, punk, and a small handful of pop/rap acts.

The real problem with metal heads are how far up their own asses they are acting like hostile douches and talking shit about everyone who they think isn't le heavy enough. And that's really only a problem for online retards because irl they're the chillest people ever.

i'm a metalhead but i'm into a lot of other stuff too. my taste in music is probably a lot better than yours. pretentious people always have bad taste in music. people who limit themselves to genres also have bad taste in music most of the time. the midwit is impressed by complexity but the music theory knower and average joe both understand its all about feels. pretty much everything that isn't classical is pretty grug brain to write.

Metal fans are some of the most obnoxious music fans out there, right under hip hop fans. I still like metal though and some metal only fans are still cool.

ya just what i was listening to the moment i posted. i'll listen to anything if its good. i'm a band kid that never grew out of it and crusty old raver in addition to a metalhead. ill listen to fuckin opera, pop then death metal in the same day i don't give a fuck. if you can even list off the amount of genres you're into within the character count of a Anon Babble post you gotta branch out more.
