I wanna creampie her
phil collins in the air tonight contains a hidden echo on the 2nd verse lyric "woodsmen's hut" which is chorused in the key of "K monoxolydian middle C 7th degree" and it is very very subtly stretched out on $30,000 ANALOGUE master tape decks (the only technology they had at the time) to give the track and vocal an upbeat strange funkish forest feel
Message received, PatriQt.
Maintain opsec at all times.
Tick tock.

Me three!
not seeing the hyperbolaion tetrachord
you didnt even try did you.
I didn't enjoy her latest project quite as much as the last one, but it was enjoyable with a couple songs i think i'll return to.
I find it amusing that Pink Pantheress has also been the subject of fashion discussions beyond just "waow y2k music short poppy dnb :0"
MIGRATE
Why?
t. can't hear a harmony line that is no less than 8db lower than the main line in the delay
"but just trust me bros, I can totally here timing discrepancies lower than 30ms"
Again, not competent enough for this argument. Clown behavior
hello
bros talking about crazy shit like delaying the last word of a phrase.
next you'll be telling me other insane shit like bringing in room mics or a different reverb setting on the chorus.
black magic like changing eq settings over time.
sidechaining everything to the lead god damn
mfw i tell anon the mix is muddy, transients are not off and it needs more automation
Rough beginning sketch of a drum and bass track:
Not too sure how to fill out the intro, for now
I think the drop needs a bit more something
voca.ro
Going a different kind of schizophrenic with today's WIP. I like it better so far.
Maybe a lil reece bass in there on top is the something? Maybe not that but just my ear wants something else in that freq range as someone who listens to a lot of stuff.
time to find one single foley sample and base the whole track on that !!
Perpetually buttmad lol.
idgi
a lil reece bass
Yeah i'm guessing something along those lines then, definitely the frequency
Thank you anon
Also need to tame the lead bass a bit, vocals are tad too quiet and centered i reckon
aaaaaaaa fuck this shit im deleting it

Do you guys think 1on1 production coaching is worth it?
I found some guy that makes tutorials on youtube which i really really enjoy and from which i learned alot so i was thinking of picking up 1 or 2 lessons. They are 80 bucks per hour
If I wasn't a broke bitch I would 100% pay for tutoring.
Imo it's much more "worth" it if you have an exact idea of what you're hoping to accomplish with a teacher though.
If you're in the stages of "still learning" (i.e a novice, or what most people claim as "intermediate") then you're probably not going to get much out of it unless you approach with very specific goals in mind.
... That said I haven't scoped it out, but 80 bucks sounds a little steep afaik?
I've seen ads from producers who I personally feel are accomplished for less than that.
Then again they're not known for *teaching,* which is a different skillset after all.
This guy is really good, his personal tracks arent really my cup of tea but his youtube tutorials are awesome. Hes able to nail sound of a lot of artists. Though, thats the exact thought i had just a second ago, i dont really know what sound im trying to achieve. I know when i hear it. I dont even know which tracks could he help me finish, but maybe he could help me better my existing finished tracks. Is it worth it just for learning mixing and mastering a bit? Im clueless on that part and im too lazy/ cant find proper tutorials to do it on my own.
If i could just show him some tracks concerning the sound im trying to achieve, maybe he could help me achieve it. Does that make sense?
What this guy said I'd just have like specific questions and stuff literally written out before hand with space to take notes. Might as well treat it like school if you're going to pay for it like school.
Does anyone here write song lyrics? What's your process, any tips to share? I very recently tried to write something, mostly in a sort of story driven way but I quite often find myself hesitating on many lines, I stop and think that this sounds too tryhard and cheesy.
she looks tired of this guy's nonsense
Is it worth it just for learning mixing and mastering a bit.
Imo if you can show somebody your project file, walk through it together and talk about the thought process on the micro and macro level: yes that's worth it.
But yeah, like we're saying, it'll only be worth it if you go in with a certain mindset as opposed to just going in blind and trusting that he'll take the reins.
Well yeah i was thinking of going through some of my finished project files and to see whats good and what can be improved, also doing some rudimentary mixing/ mastering cause i have no idea how to do it. I feel like on many occassions he could right off the bat see improvements like "this needs to be EQd differently" etc. I know what sound i want i just have trouble expressing it with words. I have no trouble asking questions or steering the convo in a path that im interested in. Also, i could show him some tracks to show what sound am i going for so maybe he could give me some pointers in achieving it in a new project or just help me out with synthesis of patches
surely any moment now he'll say something ridiculous and untrue, and forget that I can't hear a harmony track 5db below the melody track
Does anyone use tiktok here? it's changed over the years and is now shit, even shitter than before
You have to mark not interested bro
im not a phonezoomer. the feed is just endless TRASH
unironically just a skill issue like it's really not thtat hard to scroll past stuff you don't like.
google how to reset your data and make sure not to hover on ragebait, the alphabet people, boring shit you already see on insta or whatever it is you don't like.
whatever trash (((algorithm))) shittok is using doesnt react to me scrolling past 49/50 vids. its steaming gorilla diarrhea donkey piss and you should be ashamed for even pretending to bat for such retards
50 videos is like 2 minutes of scrolling? Aren't old people supposed to be the one with the attention span?
That's great. Don't use it. Nobody cares dude
a brainrot victim i see
My singer songwriter stuff I've been working on for the past two hours. I wrote the lyrics after a sleep
Dog read a book
Does the piano have to be wobbly? What is the song about?
heaven
Oh, dog read a book, did he? That's nice, anon, but this is a music production thread. Maybe Anon Babble or Anon Babble would like to know instead.
Imagine if somebody told you they wanted to be an athlete and they wanted advice on how to practice, and then they scoffed as soon as you brought up running for endurance, and just kept making excuses as you tried to explain why they should consider it.
I chose a different instrument. Added the part of the chorus
unrelated, off-topic sentence in response to nothing
These bots are getting weirder.
It's okay to make some shitty songs too. You still learn a lot along the way. Even if it's just what to not do again.
