I think it's more the culture. there's still great music out there but with the advent of streaming services like spotify people aren't really incentivised to look for it any more. listening to some discover weekly playlist or whatever the fuck it is certainly ain't combing over blogspots

Again, that’s on you. I listen to new albums that I love all the time, and there are many releases I’m looking forward to this year. Maybe it’s a taste thing, if you like post punk or something, genres that were made/revived in the 2010s you might see it that way. I like a lot of kinds of music though. Metal, folk and electronic in particular have some really great scenes happening at the moment
