Was going to post her. Really like her music, it's slightly different yet also distinctly (to me) Ethiopian.

4/4 or, rhythmically, a fast 6/8. This one a little odd, I'll give you that. The vast majority of pop music from Ethiopia has this lilting 6/8 rhythm. It's literally in every song I've come across.

This only applies to the pop music that's grounded in its Ethiopian musical heritage/roots. The music that's western-influenced is quite different:
