Hard tail Condor Les Paul for me sirs. Thank you.

too soon

Never too soon to honor such a great player. God bless him

bought a used Wolfgang for cheap a few weeks ago

sounds great, feels pretty good

hate the Floyd Rose

even if I deck it I hate it

hate tuning it

hate changing strings

hate palm muting on it

basically nothing can be done about it without filling in the cavity in the body and putting a different bridge on

never play it because of the stupid Floyd Rose

Probably just gonna give it to my dad cuz he loves his Wolfgang and now he’ll have two

My Noventa Jizzmaster showed up, finally after 3 days of the tracking not updating. It’s better than I was expecting. The little shop I ordered from off Reverb (Rainbow Guitars Tucson AZ) did a free setup and did a nice job. Despite shipping to MI with our near freezing temps it was still damn close to in tune out the box. I was having doubts as I waited but the 3 P90s in Strat configuration is really something unique. Maybe it’s the combo of that, the body size/weight and the supremely comfy roasted maple neck? Tremolo stays in tune but only goes one way (my Vintera Jag has a bit of play the opposite way which I’ve gotten used to). Between this and the Player 1 Strat I got last month I’ll be playing five times as much as I would otherwise, my hands are already sore from increased playing, I expect my calluses to build up to the density they were back in my heyday. I’ve had great luck with Mexican Fenders lately, this, the Ltd P1 Strat and my Vintera Jag are all a few notches above my 04 Mexistrat. As for mods I think I’ll throw a F stamped neck plate on this to match my Fiesta Red P1 and maybe some locking tuners if I get around to it. Otherwise, unless this takes a horrible turn and settles extremely poorly it plays great as is.

I bought a Les Paul custom from Rainbow while on a business trip. Good people.

Based guitar

Made in India gun

I’ve always seen Floyd Roses as souping up a car or motorcycle, sure it increases the performance capabilities but it also creates a whole host of potential issues. Are these back en vogue because the Hapa twink from Polyphia or something? I’m probably out of touch when it comes to what the current trends are in the virtuoso realm of the guitar world

Idk I’ve always hated them. My dad always had them and I hated playing his guitars growing up because of them. This guitar was $350 with a hard case and for that price I thought I’d give the FR another shot and maybe I’d come to tolerate it but no, it actively discourages me from playing this otherwise pretty great guitar.

never used..

I'm just getting back into guitar, and I want to throw a humbucker sized P90 in the bridge of an HSS strat-style guitar. It's a shame about the Gibson P-94.

MY BUTT IS FARTIN'

waza is cool. tyler wouldn't fuck with it

“Mom I threw up” pose energy
Looks like the average PRS fanboy

The Pacifica 112VMX comes with a pull-pot for bridge humbucker splitting. I want to swap it out for a P90, right? So I'm thinking about turning the pull function into a bass cut, like the Jaguar strangle switch. The bass cut would also work on the middle and neck pickup that way.

I like the Pacificas with the humbucker in its own ring.

that's a squier. prs ds

looks like furniture

actually is

Yes I know it’s a Squier, but MIW is cringe and the exact type of person who buys PRS
Furniture looking guitars are the best looking guitars

That’s a West German P226

Ok based, I saw the logo and assumed nuSig

I’ve never seen any Duesenberg stuff in person (I want to tho, they look super cool) but I’ve heard good things about Bare Knuckle pickups. For the money Gibson’s P90s are very good too, they’re like $120 each here but idk about over in yurop

tremolo

I hate that these fuckers are still around. It's not enough that I won't buy them, nobody should.

35559.jpg - 1073x830, 80.46K

What do you dislike about them?

when i went to buy a jp2c from them a while back on reverb they told me to call them and let me do the transaction over the phone to avoid taxes
based shop desu

Hey muchaco stop posting Gibson's and post some MIM telecasters

this is peak and you Anon Babbletards cannot deny it

What are some strings that don’t get all rusty and grimy super quick? I just put some NYXLs on a guitar last Monday and the G string is already feeling crusty.

Based as fuck

Real niggas play that Boogie

mmmmmmm
no

Just about everything, but the worst is the posts! They're either made in the wrong shape or too soft, leading to catching and damage over regular use. Even MIM and MIJ Fenders can have this issue. And if the intonation is off you have to take off the strings, adjust, and then repeat. It's the worst fender trem and they refuse to address the design flaws.

2000x.jpg - 2000x2000, 330.94K

Well to be fair, they have rarely been available.

I sold my last MIM a while ago.

JaguarilloSB.jpg - 950x478, 93.31K

True, most of em are hardtail now. I just wish they slapped a strat's trem on it in the 60's and called it a day.

Strange to find out that one guy invented the guitar strap in the 1940s. All the thick shoulder/thin strip stuff from Fender and all the colorful stuff from the 60s (like Hendrix in OP) were his designs.

Err...I mean the old OP.

Leo Fender liked to innovate, but he never actually played.

I have seen a Gibson tenor, but always in cherry

They look cool, but I don't understand how there's a market for old ass used straps. Imagine the smell.

lksemdselkff.jpg - 1200x800, 304.81K

They're always called "vintage straps" now, but apparently he called them the Cadillac strap.
Fender included one with every new guitar apparently. Which is fucking cool. They should do that again.

s-l1600.jpg - 1600x1600, 301.98K

I don't know about the market for them, but it feels really nice to wear an old strap and retain that aesthetic. There's just something about them, the companies that recreate them just don't make you feel as cool, even though they are more comfortable.

I would totally appreciate this guitar.

Hey that's my amp.

I don't understand what he wanted so much from Fender to have jumped ship. Nothing stands out about it...except the PRS is probably better desu. He once said he wasn't satisfied with them not being able to spec for him. I've never heard other artists say that. They'll spec even for you and me, if you have the money.

Ordered this Squier contemporary jag from a vendor in a different state that ended up getting damaged in shipping. After working out a deal with the shop owner, it came out to $73. I have a sticker over where it was damaged so it doesn't get any worse but I eventually want to try to repair the finish myself.
Would i just clue the chunk/chip of paint back down to the wood using wood glue and then seal it with a coat of clear epoxy?
I was thinking about doing something cool like fixing it like Japanese Kintsugi pottery where I would accentuate the repair with a contrasting epoxy instead.
Any tips from anons here who are amateur luthiers would be cool. If not, i'll probably see what Anon Babble has to say.

Nothing stands out about it...except the PRS is probably better desu.

Blah. Except the PRS trem*

you need an extremely thinned CA glue that will wick into the cracks.
then coat with more clear poly, sand, fill, sand higher grits, polish

Why the weapon, Cringe lord?

yeah gun did make it a bit gay. no one here is gonna steal your jazzmaster dude

What do you recommend thinning out CA glue with? Also, as you can see, the finish chip is no longer flush for some reason and sticking up. Should I just press it down as i'm applying the CA glue or should i see if somethings wrong with the wood underneath by lifting the flap up and potentially breaking the chip off completely? Yes i'm retarded. Thanks for the advice btw

buy prethinned CA glue if you don't know what you're doing
cover the chip with waxed paper and strap it down. you want excess glue to squeeze out and dry high. it will require sanding but give you more material to work with.

(or just hold it down at the risk of sticking your finger to the guitar)

Ok, i'll have to see where i'd be able to buy some. And I don't really mind not having an "invisible" repair so the whole sanding and buffing part afterwards might just be something I skip but idk yet.

can you manually press the chip flush?
it should be relatively easy to glue if you can

I hear some J dilla influence, and some pink floyd as well

you know i like both of those artists!

Did someone say...pedals?

no

you can get water-thinned CA glue

Wood glue and a small brush from the craft department. Get some glue on the brush and push it in there, press the chip down and wipe up the excess with a wet paper towel. 'Clamping' it will be the tricky part, and I'd cover the repair with some saran wrap or wax paper, then wrap it with a cloth strip. You could also get a bag of large rubber bands from the office supply store and put a few dozen of those on.
Crazy glue is a mess and is not traditional.

Would you get a wireless tuner implanted in your brain?

its meh

Hey Faggots,

My name is John, and I hate every single one of you. All of you are fat, retarded, no-lifes who spend every second of their day looking at stupid ass guitar pictures. You are everything bad in the world. Honestly, have any of you ever gotten any pussy? I mean, I guess it's fun making fun of people because of your own insecurities, but you all take to a whole new level. This is even worse than jerking off to pictures on facebook.

Don't be a stranger. Just hit me with your best shot. I'm pretty much perfect. I was leader of my highschool band, and opened for Slayer. What bands do you play in, other than "jack off to naked drawn cartoon robots"? I also get straight A's, and have a banging hot girlfriend (She just blew me; Shit was SO cash). You are all faggots who should just kill yourselves. Thanks for listening.

you forgot the picture retard

i'll have to take the sticker off and see. will CA glue bond the paint chip to the wooden guitar body underneath? Or is it just meant to seal the chip?
neat
this seems more of a slow but done right way to go about the repair. So for clarification, the wood glue will bond the underside of the chip to the body of the guitar, but would i need to work on filling the cracks in the chipped finish after or will push out from wood glue do that for me?
