A metal band hasn't been truly mainstream since Metallica in the 90s. And after that the only things that almost achieved mainstream success were Slipknot and Disturbed. But now, this alleged "metal" band Sleep Token is the first metal band in 30 years to go mainstream, because, like, they're just THAT good. Yeah right. Normies do not like metal. Normies do not like heavy. So if normies are listening to something, its probably not metal. The parts of ST that appeal to normies are not the "heavy" parts. (where they can even be found, have fun searching for them). The parts that appeal to normies are the zesty ass "sexy" sounding R&B bedroom music parts, which comprises like 90% of their material. Also, never mind whether their even metal or not, they're fucking boring. Ive never been more confused by a bands success.
