Record companies artificially pushed Vinyl as le "best format for audiophiles". It's a scam.
CDs can be easily ripped bit-for-bit and have no copy protection
CDs are the most clear, and are also harder to make unplayable) (Cassettes still are the hardest to make unplayable though, besides SSDs)
Record companies don't want you buying CDs, it's why all "limited record store day releases" are only in vinyl. CDs are too easy to distribute & play their music. They'd rather have you pay for a slab of plastic that is easy as shit to scratch, requires monotonous cleaning, cannot be easily copied without a recorder and doing all the metadata, and requires expensive, special tech to even make it sound as good as your old sony CD walkman with a good pair of cans.
