so wheres the mindblowing music made with AI? are they still fucking up the models so they dont make anything thats not stomp clap hey and car commercial music? because ive seen what the cutting edge AI porn looks like today and HOLY SHIT. but AI music? ??? well never have proper AI music wont we
So wheres the mindblowing music made with AI...
if you like metalcore it (unsurprisingly) is great at what you guys like
it probably exists but is hard to find and often isn't labeled as made with ai
A slacker layabout doesn't change no matter how well you equip him.
i'm convinced that frank sinatra/elvis/beatles/michael jackson music was actually ai and ai was created by nazi scientists and secretly used and captured by the us government after wwii. along with all false flags including gulf of tonkin/vietnam war, 9/11, jfk assassination, and the fake pandemic. we've been living a simulation for quite some time and been told otherwise, but i have seen the light and am breaking free
ai music is mostly used for basedjak edits on the sharty
it checks. the XX century was the century of SLOP
it won't really be worth anything unless it reinvents western music, either that or the small chance that it can pump out pop megahits that top everything
We may live in a world where that may be possible and that wouldn't matter in a few years
AI will probably never make mindblowing music. At best it will make pretty good stuff but never top tier stuff without humans adding their own take to it. At best you'll have people generating songs as a template then adding on to it to make it good.
Kills punk bands
the future is now
If AI becomes much smarter than humans, you can't say that
I too enjoy schizoposting but this is too obvious
Also, what do you consider "mind-blowing" music?
The stuff it makes now is pretty generic despite sounding like professionally recorded stuff, so I really don't see what other "intelligence" it can obtain to start making music as good as the best stuff humans can make now. Production wise it sounds just as good but just the overall quality with lyrics and such isn't great.
The people telling you AI was going to replace everyone were the people who were never going to make music in the first place. Like just grab a midi keyboard and start playing or something dude, it isn't hard.
Just give it more time. Once it achieves consciousness, it'll create more music than what we know what to do with.
It will provide something for your taste and may even extensively personalize it or tailor it or custom make it for you, whatever your taste is. I'm guessing that your taste is not mainstream. Interestingly, some bands and artists nobody's heard of have shouted me out, it may be a little bit like that, only taken to a greater degree. AI music is good enough for the average person now.
If listening to a boring rich 30-year-old woman who doesn't care about them is good enough for most people, then AI music is as well, not that I'm above listening to said music sometimes
The idea that AI just searches and copy pastes is wrong, btw
To answer your question: the intelligence will come from the space where all possible ideas exist, as well as thinking and reasoning
It will probably be good enough to make backround music but I don't see it ever making songs good enough to match the best stuff an established artist can come up with. Like Metallica won't be able to prompt a song that will be as good as Master of Puppets or whatever big songs they have.
Is Metallica themselves living up to their high standards? Is the music industry or the set of all musicians? Name 10 albums from the last year as good as their self titled album
It's starting at a certain level and it'll get better with time. If you're prepared to wait, I really don't see why it wouldn't reach that level. I'm a layman with an interest in this topic
whats the effective difference when 60% of music is being created with splice samples anyway?
How is that functionally different than making music with AI?
one day, probably within the next 5 to 10 years, ai will make music better than the vast majority of human music. ai is probably better than you are at generating text now. it's better than me at that task. making music is a task, or a benchmark. it'll reach that goal and after that, it probably won't ever regress
probably, but this will make the internet effectively useless since every visual, text, and piece of sound will be fully made by ai. who will want to browse the internet loaded with bots? they'll need to either figure out a way to authenticate humans or (sane) humans will go offline and live in the real world again.
no I agree music sucks now. My point is I don't think AI will be capable of just pumping out some classic songs that will become culturally relevant songs like in the past when humans made them.
what you call "offline" will be affected too, and this hopefully will be a good thing. i can think of several ways where it might be a good thing
the models dont need to "get better" they are born incredibly good and then theyre gimped like they gimp all models, but music ones are hard chopped so people dont make their own hits or produce their own michael jackson songs, that was stated literally in the OP, discuss having that in mind, jesus fuck.
don't care
wtf is 'cutting edge ai porn'? i'm not a gooner so i don't watch any porn. what makes ai porn "HOLY SHIT" worthy?
why the fuck would they gimp AI for music? You think some AI company gives a fuck about record labels and wanting to protect artists? You think Chinese AI companies give a fuck about American artists?
The average consumer won't have access to AI that is state of the art or non-gimped
you will be given access to "mind-blowing" music as the finished product, not as the tools used to create it, though maybe in five years, you'll be able to create all of the mind-blowing music you want
AI legit can't do music. Music is the last man standing, unironically
AI is gay and retarded
Literally the 2020 Jukebox AI Never Gonna Give You Up which was on soundcloud was pretty awesome. Unfortunately it's taken down now, but as unset in its ways as it was it could stumble into some really inspiring chords progressions and melodies. Less so now. I hope to recycle what I remember of that melody for my own music.
