I don't care what you people say, U2 is the greatest band to ever exist. No other band has such versatility or quality as U2. The Beatles only had two musical geniuses and yet they are regarded as one of the greatest bands to ever exist. U2 has FOUR genius musicians who are each masters of their respective fields, so naturally they are TWICE as good as the Beatles. If you don't like their music it's probably because your a pseudo intellectual music snob. Post anything related to U2

Being honest, they were a great post-punk band early on who transitioned successfully to pop during the 90s and made some interesting fusion music in their lesser known albums. After 9/11 they became garbage arena rock but that was the same for many bands during that age

The Edge is the secret sauce. Finding sounds and pulling them out of the ether one after another is a rare talent that Pete Townsend has well. You could build an entire album the new sound acquired for one song.

longtime fan here. i don't even talk about them because people just end up shitting on them. there was a brief moment in the early 2010s when Pitchfork gushed about some of their reissues (unforgettable fire mostly), and every hipster I knew suddenly liked them. didn't last long though. either way, I've fucked with them since the 90s and I'm happy that the 90s obsessed zoomers haven't discovered achtung baby or zooropa.
Some of their older stuff is alright. They stopped being interesting when they stopped being Irish and started being nondescript globohomo pop machines.
They're a solid band for their 80s period alone. Not as big a fan now but their classic albums are classic for a reason. And the only person who shits on them here is the autist who is literally talking to himself in this thread and posting memes that make sense to no one.
And the only person who shits on them are the fried chicken haters.

source? bono and edge give off very worldly atheist vibes. anyway thats a weird point to hang up on
who´s that chud?
A few of their songs talk about it. Spiritual struggles and whatnot. Bono, Edge and Larry are also Christians and have been open about their faith.
like all good christians, they enjoy soul food.

He´s right
Bono grew up half-Protestant in Ireland during The Troubles
This is one of the big reasons he's so open about his faith
are you part of U2´s PR or something?
Glad he could turn that into Sunday Bloody Sunday which is such a banger.
Everyone in Oblivion loves this band
No wtf, I mean he's not christian, he's catholic. Of course he's not from any obscure pagan cult.
Splitting hairs. You know what the fuck I meant.
What are you talking about?
Christian
Catholic
You were splitting hairs and getting pissy about it. You knew what I meant.
You gotta be dumb if you think those two things are the same when there have been decade-long wars because of their dispute, lmao.
Remember me Anon, When i fried your chicken, i SANG, JUST, LIKE, THIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISSSSS......
You gotta be a pissy little faggot to get this worked up over the spirituality of U2.
Of course he's not from any obscure pagan cult.
