I stand behind it being a decent pop album. It's titled Melodrama, and it serves plenty on that. First three tracks are arguably the weakest, after that it's some of the best melancholic pop of that decade.
What's going on is that her songwriting declined massively in SP, and instead of realizing she is out of ideas she dumped the best aspect of the past two albums: Antonoff.
I think this one is actually pretty good yea. Definitely her best cover so far

Yes, completely genuinely. It's simple, memorable and well composed. HMHAS is washed out as fuck, what is even supposed to be the focus? Her or the door? It's all gloomy and self-serious in the worst way, at least HTE was bright and had a clear idea it wanted to convey with the glamorous look.
