Honestly as an oldfag I remember the reception to Charli’s TR singles and I know it’s a different era but people were going crazy in a similar way. She was covered on every indie blog, that’s why it was so surprising when she decided to attempt the manufactured manicured pop star thing with Sucker. All I can say as a Charli fan is that it was a long journey… I’m not sure Addison will take as long but if you ask me honestly I think she will burn more brightly for a shorter time rather than Charli’s more difficult path to mainstream acceptance which I think will set her up from now on basically… it doesn’t matter what she does next because she’s done the work. I’m very optimistic about Addison but that’s my reading of the situation
