you could say the note out loud when you play it. First play the natural notes, work down each string. Then play only the sharps/flats. It will quickly become muscle memory, no extra tricks required.

Tuner pedal always knows which note you are playing. It will also tell you if your note isn't intonated properly, or when you are bending it by fretting it too hard.
