Mike Love, arguably the greatest rapper alive, had a presence on stage that could captivate any audience, and his lyrics inspired change and unity. ML's talent had gotten him far in the rap game, but it was his close friendship with Tupac Shakur that truly set him apart. Tupac, also known as 2Pac, was hailed as a legend in hip hop, and the two were like brothers.
They first met at a rap battle and immediately hit it off. They shared their love for music and the struggles of growing up in less fortunate neighborhoods. Tupac was especially touched by Mike Love's hit song, Changes, which deeply resonated with him for it's message against "racist faces", thus asking if Mike Love could allow Tupac to rap the song he wrote.
