Who listens to this shit? American boy bands at least pretended to have a semblance of authenticity or actively tried to hide the fact they were put together by agents and marketeers, but kpop doesn't even hide its corporate slop.

after the west stopped caring about perfomance/dancing the syncronized dancing gained a huge following as it is a lower bar of entry than playing/making/singing music

Why would I care about authenticity in pop music?
I tend to listen to a lot of jazz, rock and extreme metal, it gets pretty depressing, so switching to kpop for a minute can be kinda fun and relaxing
A lot of the music is still made by western composers and producers anyway
