Why is Kendrick like this?

He does what the record execs tell him to do and say, as any indentured nigga should

That's why TPAB is such a bittersweet album for me. It's good yeah but it's where that grandiose, moralizing, self righeous messiah personality was born. Partly through his own action, partly through no fault of his own. It just makes me cringe now though, I avoid the songs of his where I get that vibe

*self-righteous

Sorry eating while typing kek

That's a bunch of people. I won't blame him alone.

OP is talking specifically about him though. Whataboutism doesn't help. This is about criticizing his art.

Hey, you can do what you want. Just that there's whole bunch of other musicians like this. I guess in the 90s, more of it was counterculture, but it's a little ridiculous to larp as some revolutionary now, when Disney and JP Morgan is saying the same shit.

media

like Fox News and Joe Rogan?

corporations

really?

-1x-1_webp.png - 2000x1332, 3.47M

watch the party die is unlistenable to me for this reason. so cringe man. man is drinking his own kool aid times x100. i suppose you do have to be delusional with the bravado to even make it as a rapper

That's hilarious.

This is insane cope. He clearly is in deep with industry politics and what not, that's clear to anyone. Picking random corporations and purposely misunderstanding OP's point is a choice for sure.

You gotta do what you gotta do to get a USP. He came into that batch of blog rappers slightly late and after S80 and GKMC he needed something to set him apart from the competition. The preaching angle was the one he chose and it clearly worked since people really believe it, even today.

Anon everyone knows corporations have 0 morals and flip flop based on whatever gives them the best optics and will make them the most money. That is the most obvious thing ever stated.

*even dumber man who agrees with most powerful man in the world thinks he's part of the rebellion*

qrd? i don't get it

Kendrick is low-key a right winger between the Black Israelite stuff and other lines here and there.

"What the fuck is cancel culture, dawg?
Say what I want about you niggas, I'm like Oprah, dawg"

Drake lost.

Hello mov

Most powerful man out of sheer stubbornness and actual normal people in action telling you to go fuck yourself. He's already escaped multiple assassination attempts, two impeachments (lmao), pulled a coup on his own party and transformed it, and had the whole book thrown at him. Acting like he's still the establishment is just silly.
If anything, liberals need a Trump figure themselves. Someone to wreck everyone's shit and rebuild again.

We all know that anon. Everyone knows that. I made this thread to talk about Kendrick, not the beef. I want to talk about his work and how it's changed in tone imo. Stop linking everything back to that in bad faith pls

Establishment is the neocon Republicans like Rand Paul throwing a tantrum over him because they wish Jeb Bush could have been president.

Kek

how it's changed in tone imo

You mean gnx? Its a west coast album in which he doesn't talk much or at all about muh resistance or whatever. What are you even talking about?

the president of the united states is not the establishment

bad faith arguments, doesn't want to engage, just fellate

Alright fuck this thread, I'm out

When publicly supporting the president of the united states is career suicide, yeah

I thought that was a picture of Prince Harry

It's not career suicide. In many places throughout the country, it's either not controversial at all (i.e., contemporary tech), or mandatory (i.e. all low I.Q. chud safespaces; anywhere in RW political spheres, whether in office, the RW media ecosystem, or — few in number though they are — RW think tanks).

Indeed, given that he tried to overturn an election via a coup, and is now catering the economy to hold the business world hostage to his whims, it's striking just how non-controversial supporting him now is. The faith of the low I.Q. really is strong.

some people disliking the establishment magically disqualifies it from being the establishment

angry xitter posts and negative news articles magically strip the government of its power

low I.Q. chud safespaces

the ones for which being known to participate would DEFINITELY be career suicide?

contemporary tech

who's a non-controversial trump supporter in contemporary tech?

Was JFK establishment? How did his term end?

You must literally have never worked a day in your life to not think there are such places throughout the country. Bodyshops, construction sites, factories, oil rigs: In none of these places is supporting DJT the least bit controversial. And there's many more besides.

All of them aside from Elon. Nobody cares that Bezos and Zuck have bent the knee to DJT. Certainly not enough to matter. The people who hated them before didn't hate them anymore afterwards for their craven, opportunistic political compromise. If anything, such people have themselves become more supportive of DJT because of his wrecking the global economy with tarrifs, and the capitalist plutocrats who sold out to him now have no legs to stand on since they already abandoned principles for DJT, and the other side is even more hostile to capitalism than ever, and thus is in no mood to welcome them back.

You losers can't bare to think that it's not 2016 anymore. You've been half the establishment for nine years, and have systemically purged anyone who brokered even the mildest dissent from your ranks.

adulthood is realizing that being "anti-establishment" is retarded. the trump administration is a fucking disaster and people like george bush and ronald reagan were far more competent,

5 rubles have been deposited into your account

is that way, leftshit

You agree with them that you shouldn't treat other humans like shit therefore you can't complain about how shit our society is

JFK was among the most establishment figures in the history of the nation. So much so that he was able to sustain the careers of his degenerate relatives for generations after his death. Literally the only reason anyone thinks otherwise is because he was assassinated while he was still young and pretty,* by a communist terrorist who defected to the Soviet Union whose plan was to escape to Cuba. Said retards never seem to pay attention to that last part.

* In actual fact, he was a drug addict with numerous horrific health problems, but image is all retards care about.

Seriously, imagine saying a guy whose father served three separate posts in the Roosevelt administration; who served distinguishedly in war before going to Harvard, becoming a congessman, then a senator; who was succeeded in both of those posts by, respectively, the future Speaker of the House and his own younger brother, the latter of whom would go on to hold his post for half a century despite committing manslaughter and treason, while he went on to become the youngest elected PotUS ever; is anything but our most establishment figure. You should be embarrassed to be such a shallow, empty thinker.

Anyway here's how we defeated the deep state by voting in a billionaire and millionaire cabinet

?

how very weird that leftists are now like "well...Bush wasn't so bad..." when we remember what was said about him in 2003.

Leftists AREN'T saying this. Centrists, dissident rightists, and abundance agendaists are saying this. Leftists are if anything more pro-Trump. Hence why they've been less resistive and oppositional to him in his second term despite him being more powerful and damaging. Many* have even openly defected to his camp, so much so that MAGA communism is now unironically the heart of the Trump machine. (You WILL build the iphones!)

/thread

Generally if anyone tries to make a point of how much of a good individual they are, or tries to sell you on that, the safer it is to assume they're probably just grifting. Case in point, picrel

bey.jpg - 2048x1365, 311.74K

remember when "anti-establisment" actually meant something?

nowadays leftists think anything with trump, musk, bolsonaro, putin, capitalism is proof that the right is the establishment, whereas rightists think academia, media, pop culture is proof that left is the establishment

you can't do any socio/political activism nowadays without being accused by one side of supporting the establishment

Establishment is a spectrum. Outside de-facto or de-jure one-party states, the party in power is less establishment than the party out, but those at the top within their parties are still the establishment. This is particularly true for DJT, whose had nine years to shape the party for himself, who has no other priorities than centralizing power for himself, and won the nomination without even running for it. He is now the most establishment figure in the entire country by some distance, including everyone else in either party and every living former president.

Because he's a black brainlet
