Best Sade Album?

Recently, I revisited Sade’s entire catalogue. For the record, I think all their albums are amazing. Even Soldier of Love has some interesting songwriting.

While I believe Love Deluxe and Diamond Life are objectively the most influential, Lovers Rock is the one I revisit the most. It just has an insane atmosphere, especially when it leans fully into the trip-hop. Even though a couple of tracks sound like country pop, I still find it to be the most unique and it includes most of my favorite Sade songs.

I've always liked Stronger than Pride the best. Not sure why.

For me it's probably Love Deluxe, but it's a very consistent discography.

Though I'd heard all her singles over the years, Lovers Rock was the first album I ever owned, so it's my fav as well.

It's an underrated one. I think it's pretty cool since it marks the transition between the smooth jazz previous stuff and whatever you call Love Deluxe's style

I came here to say that her early era before Love Deluxe blew up was so good. The first 3 albums are amazing. Promise has two really good songs 'never as good as the first time' and is it a crime' ... you can loop brood for days.
