The biggest offense is that their stuff is supposed to be UK-only, because in theory it was supposed to protect the british market from the flood of bootlegs, but you can buy this stuff cheaply in Poland or Germany, because this stuff doesn't sell. I do appreciate that they released Keep of kalessin or Hateplow in boxsets. Their average releases are average, but boxsets are very good

Well fair enough. Psychonaut are a lot more melodic and do tone down some of the quirkiness, but Lifelover are a definite heavy inspiration for them.
Maybe try Beautyfall by Psychonaut then to get started. That's probably their most solid and consistent album.

The albums are often a bit of a mixed bag. They have the fun catchy singles and then some songs that breeze on by without much of note. That's why I like Beautyfall most as the ratio feels better there.
