What docyou think about when you are playing riffs? I think about riffs. I usually play guitar in the same way a skateboarder would keep going until he falls. I just improvise until I fuck up so severely trying to do some cool shit that is above my level that it is as if I had fallen on my ass. This makes me consider my style of improvising unfit for public consumption. I have started beat boxing whole playing riffs in order to give a better understanding of the intended feel of what the riffs could sound like in a fuller context, but I sweat riffs to the point that I don't give a fuck about any of them. It's like if your wife had 10 children every morning. How could you love them all, or pick favorites. My fingers are as fertile as a hundred dogs. I must move on to more advanced considerations than mere creativity in an individualistic and you could say solipsistic sense. The next level of skateboarding will be choreographed.

IMO though it's the most schizo, the vocalist was fucking sectioned and offed himself, and it's such a songwriting disaster it is the first album that comes to my mind for "schizo". It's the only thing I'd say is close to "technical DSBM" album out there.
Silencer isn't that schizo musically to me as a lot of the songs are pretty easy to follow. The opener especially.

I did clarify I don't think some albums here are good. Rainer's self-titled is fucking awful, but it is also a complete jumbled mess which I consider to be "schizo", much like Malvery. Malvery's weird pained vocals over the top of a drummer going apeshit is so jarring it can't be anything but schizo.

I kinda wanted circus PN as it's far more absurd, but I can kinda see KPN being on there. For me though Famine is only schizo "in moments", like the looping burp sample, and largely his music (especially something like La Sanie) isn't too bad.
To be honest I might take the KPN but put Split on there given how he decides to blackface it and play trap for half of it. Seems like a more edgy thing to do than most of L'Ordure.

Anyway I’d like to see a completed schizo metal chart. There’s quite a bit of controversy about what that means though
To me it was just music that is "all over the place" or regularly changing sound/style throughout, or just has a pretty crazy sound in general. I think the chart was relatively consistent in that.
The background of the albums didn't really play a part for me, but the Shillencer put that as more of a priority. Really if I was gonna go down that route then I could put Mayhem on there as Dead was clearly a few shells short of a brain blast.

My local record store was like 5 times that size, and had every vinyl you can think of. It closed when the owner died, this sweet old lady who didn't even bust me when she knew i would go in and lift shit as a teenager. Most of the record stores are gone now, that huge 5 story Rasputin's in SF, the one in the Haight, i miss real record stores where you could hang out and meet ppl.

He used their talents, and then once he felt he had no more use of them he would unceremoniously kick them out, sometimes without even telling them that they were out, and them having to learn it from other people. He honestly seems like a neurotic freak with anger problems, that would flip out over the smallest things. He was a great musician, but come the fuck on. There's no reason to be this much of a cunt, especially to people who helped you create masterpieces.
I don't like saying this I really don't... But Darkthrone is overrated as fuck. Probably the worst of the original norwegian scene. They have only a few songs that are any good. Crossing the triangle of flames and a couple others.
