Depeche Mode

gay 1980s techno-pop

their songs are covered by every Metal band, ever

what the fuck is going on here? why do metal bands obsess over these Bong butt bandits?

Maybe the dark aesthetic? At least that's what i think makes them like the Cure too

All of the members are straight too

their songs are actually good compositions that transfer over to any genre with ease.

I think it helps that even back in the pure synth days Martin Gore wrote most of the songs on guitar.

Depeche Mode is about as gay as Morrissey is straight

What the fuck is the blonde guy wearing?

you can't wear that and pretend to be straight
intellectual homosex is still homosex

Mommy says he's been a baaaad baaad boy.

'Course you can!

bi is still gay

he's got balls to think his puny schoolboy physique has any right to wear that

You know straight people are into BDSM too right?

Not really. Straight isn't the opposite of gay, straight is the opposite of kinky.

If you have to make excuses for why you're not gay, then you're extremely gay

Found the closet cases.

This. Even the guy who left them for fucking Erasure

not all members are white though, despite appearances.

Homosexuality is the act of having "sex" with another man.

it was the 80s, everyone looked gay

this guy gets it

the guy dressed like the gimp slave for the others is actually the leader of the band

Any other examples of this?

Hey, you're such a pretty boy~

P-R-E-DOUBLE T-Y

But seriously, they've got some good ass albums here and there.

creative force is a member other than the singer/frontman

always makes for a kino dynamic even though it usually ends badly

Nope, but I've got another "gimp slave" video.

1980s techno-pop

bait used to be believable

DP started as bubblegum synth pop (I think they were even featured in tween rag mags at the time) and then they just had this sudden, dramatic shift to something darker and much more industrial

I liked most of what they did up until Violator, which I consider "Sadsack Inudstrial". Some of Ultra was good though. Namely "Barrel Of A Gun" and "No Good"

A chandelier.

Their original leader was the fag from Erasure. After he left, it took them a few albums to de-fag their sound.

Vince Clarke is straight, it's the singer from Erasure that's gay.

Alan Wilder went on to help make some of the best Nitzer Ebb songs

Vince Clarke went on to form Yazoo/Yaz with Alison Moyet as well as Erasure

Say what you want about DP, but they've certainly had a lasting impact in Electronic Music

I didn't say he was gay. I said he was a fag.

You sound like a filtered faggot. You should also kill yourself.

what's up with str8 dudes in the 80s simultaneously being vehemently homophobic but also going so far out of their way to look and act and dress like total fags? even total Chadlike jock-bullies were a bunch of flaming queens

ass albums

Does sound a bit gay t.b.h.

I love this track, but why the fuck are you even posting it?

Vince Clarke is straight

I refuse to believe this

It wasn't faggy then, it was edgy and dangerous and sexy
Fag looking boy was letting every chick who wanted to be tied up, spanked, and fucked in the throat, that he was their dude

It wasn't faggy

These guys have had sex with way more women than you, mad innit?
