He's an social media influencer. He mimes his videos (you can see him tugging on invisible whammy bars in some videos), flat out steals his licks from nobodies/smaller musicians on YouTube and claims them as his own. Plus these stolo solos get transcribed by him and then sold to people, no money goes to the people that actually composed them.
Worst part is he's not a good musician. He can memorize and perfect a pick, but in a real music setting, a key change completely breaks his mind. He only can play what he has memorized/stolen.
Rick interviewed him and decided not to release the video because he realized Gia-whatever isn't actually a good player.
He's lost all his sponsorships. I highly doubt he'll ever be able to make a living with music ever again. He spent too much time working on useless miming skills and mastering social media instead of learning to play.

While some songs are more hybrids of original and lifted material, Dazed and Confused is a cover of a song by Jake Holmes. He waited quite a while to seek legal action on them claiming it was their composition, and even after he did the bastards still say "By Page - inspired by Jake Holmes" what a joke. It's a cover with added music.

Rick beato suffers from a severe case of boomeritis and dunning kruger but he's not the worst. I just can't stand his fucking click bait titles, air guitar, smug face, or the fact that he says a lot of shit that is blatantly wrong. I enjoy his what makes this song great series because I can't personally get the stems to listen to them myself. Other than that his interviews are sometimes ok. I think he complains way too fucking much for a boomer with a mansion and a 10 million dollar studio, and that his original music sucks, but he's not the worst.

"Miming" isn't the issue so much as stealing the material you claim is original and recording it at half speed and speeding it up is. I have no problem with someone recording a clean take or punching in on mistakes if they can actually play it 95% as good live. That being said I'd rather record a dozen takes of a cover and post the one with the least mistakes than sit there and punch in on parts I fucked up then mime it. Perfection is just not normal and you will never hear it in a live band. Most of the time my mistakes are forgetting how to play the song once I press the record button anyway.
There's also the fact that he produced shinedown who are by far the worst rock band of the 2000's.

That's why all of this shit sucks to begin with, even from legitimate players. They're not in good bands or writing many meaningful songs and impacting anyone. Guitar in the wider cultural sense has been reduced to shilling, competition, and meme shit due to all of these youtube players. Some of them are really good, but it's not rockin or making anyone buy albums or getting non-musicians enjoying it. It's not part of culture anymore.
And this guy, scummy as he is, was just seeing the territory for what it was and trying to milk it.
