I deleted RYM and last.fm I'm finally free

Thank you.

you did it
finally
now you can enjoy the music you like without preocupations

lain
is lame

lain
is lime

How would you rate the experience so far?

I'm finally free

not until you delete your Anon Babble gold account

RYM is a psy op.

For me... it's Texhnolyze...

They're really poisonous. It's vry easy to get influenced and pressured when you use these thigs, useful for discovery for music but other than that it's not worth it.

lain is legend, lighthearted schizo and my existential truth.

I have my lastfm scrobbler on but I rarely go on the site, maybe at the end of the year. what is so stressful to you about using it

You want to be my gf?

Now you have to log off Anon Babble

Let's all love Lain

idk wtf rym is and I've never used last.fm

RYM is Rate Your Meat, online forum where people post images of their penis and have strangers rate them.

so is this place

what do you use find and track music now?

I'll never delete my lastfm I'm a slave to statistics
I'm a victim of this society of archivists
and I fail everyday at escaping my condition

I don't track my music anymore, I don't have a desire right now to search for new music but there are a lot of different resources.

It's vry easy to get influenced and pressured when you use these thigs

Sounds like you're just weak

you can use discogs, bandcamp or youtube for finding new music, anons recommendations always helps too, tracking wise, you don't need to track your music, it's an useless feature that doesn't help with your music listening experience.

Congrats.

So you finally grow up. Good for you.

Lain is alright

A man of substance. RYM is one of the worst things any music enjoyer could do to themselves.

Anime is for children

It happens subconciously, and even if you don't get influenced it just impacts your mood. It's not fun to keep thinking of "I will rate this after I fiinish listening to this this much stars" etc. It's just not worth it.

tracking music is helpful so you can find what you've listened years ago and relisten it

last step: leave Anon Babble

I don't download all the music I've listened and I don't have the greatest memory ever, once you've listened to more than 1000 albums is sort of hard to remember

and why do you need to remember if it wasn't so important to you to begin with?

"oh I want to listen to this album that I don't remember nothing about so I'll just search for it in my thousand scrobbles history"

that sounds extremely retarded, this only applies if you have a physical collection.

there is nothing retarded in wanting to relisten an album that you can't remember the name of. If this feeling is foreign to you then you're a musiclet

I hope you like forgetting about music you listened to

Good for you

I have all my music downloaded. RYM doesn't help much with this unless you randomly decide to look through your library and scroll through like 2k ratings. I remember albums because they're on my computer all the time and I can stumble upon them at any time.

you can always search by a detailed description in google? fucking retard
this.
these retards are naming the worst scenarios, like yeah dude, I really want to search through 2000 ratings or 20000 scrobbles instead of a detailed google search.
sigh.....

i also just deleted rym because they deleted my favorite russian classical composer's album because it was bootleg. which is retarded

Why can’t you still not make your profile private on RYM? I don’t want to use it because of that. This is a common feature found in most of social media sites. I want privacy.

as someone who has quit smoking and alcohol before, you sound like a massive weakling faggot
underachieving zoomers need to treat everything like a struggle or an addiction so they feel a false sense of accomplishment for "overcoming" it. these are the same people whose hardest part of the day is taking a cold shower

You're a faggot for smoking in the first place.

post album?

you can always search by a detailed description in google?

Having that album in either of thpse sites is faster and more effective than going blind searching on Google, fucking retard.

True, but the real point is that you definitely, definitely, definitely do not have the willpower to quit, so I win.

do you want your participation trophy now? fuck off.

its actually bad for discovery of music because the website is so heavily ratings driven that you will miss out on stuff because of that. there are ratings on discogs but they dont really do anything in terms of funneling traffic towards a record just because it has a high rating

Cool, delete Anon Babble next

It's still a great tool for discovering music faggot

I like last fm because you don't even need to use it actively to use it properly. It all goes on in the background so it respects your time, but RYM is all about min/maxing your latent autism and is a glorified timesink, so it goes in the trash. I signed up for it once over 10 years ago, used it briefly, hated it, never logged back in again.

You can also use lists though

you don't even need to use it actively to use it properly

scrobbling is annoying and takes time plus you need to have your albums properly tagged, rating an album just takes a few seconds

discover yourself first zoomer tranny.

I'm a millennial who used the site for 15 years lol

its actually bad for discovery of music because the website is so heavily ratings driven that you will miss out on stuff because of that.

Yeah, you're the problem. Skill isuue

scrobbling is annoying and takes time

It's braindead simple, takes 1 minute to set up per device and then you're set for life. You sound like a retard.

you need to have your albums properly tagged

I listen to classical music so this is admittedly annoying but I stopped caring years ago and just let the shit fly. You don't "need" to do anything tag-related, you just feel it's a need because you have ADHD and/or autism.

Or because I'm sane and think it's stupid to have different artists whenever there's a feature, different songs depending on if it's remastered or not, etc.

typed that out like it's not worse

Everyone thinks its stupid, just not everyone has so little self-control that it makes them spaz out

nta but my god you sound like some hormonal teenager lmao

Both are shite but RYM has far more trannies so it loses by default.

Why would I want people to know what I listen to at all times?

I've never made an RYM account, it just feels like performative bullshit

People there treat music like a collectathon to show off their taste (and its not like they're even buying physical media) They list like 100 different 'favourite artists' on their profile which is also total bs, even if you listened to music 24/7 I struggle to believe you have that many in constant rotation while also discovering new things. And I see them rate albums 'good enough to be worth a relisten' - what kind of dumb mindset is that? If I like an album I want to re-listen to it almost immediately, if if I don't it's probably shit and not worth logging

It's a useful as a database but that's it, for discovering music there's better places

You've won the battle, but I win the war because you're still more likely to get cancer.

but that's it, for discovering music there's better places

Like what

ok

Click_film.jpg - 220x329, 27.76K

I'd rather get cancer than be cancerous

Getting cancer makes you literally cancerous though.

You mean ?

Literal cancer will always, always be better than being a wannabe snob tranny

kek

being cancerous in the last years of your life

better than being cancerous your whole life

yeah no. at least real cancer isn't contagious lol.

shit bottom part meant for
