Did black people invent country music?

Stop racebaiting

If they did that's the first fact I've heard so far that makes me sympathetic to racists.

This huge push to try and make it so it's "racist" for white people to listen to and preform country music seems inorganic as fuck. Where were all the black people accusing Dolly Parton of being racist and stealing black culture back in the 70s/80s?

Who is saying that?

Black people invented everything.

Should crackers even be allowed to make melodic sounds?

folk too

Crackers shouldn't even be allowed to breathe.

country is just the american word and apropiation of european folk music, more specifically irish-scottish folk, although all european folk music sounds the same
youtube.com/watch?v=3BAhzDU02wg

They never invented the wheel or written language.

Neither did the white man

even calling it folk music is dumb, this is an european music genre that is found all over europe which has a different name in each european country just like waltz or polka, but gets called european folk just to generalize, there is another type of european folk that sounds exactly like pajeet music because it is indo-aryan and probably more ancient than country folk

blacks invented whites you moron see yakub

Black people didn't even invent black people music. Slave owners taught them everything.

inb4 cope

jews tell black people that they are albino negroes today tho although in the past they called themselves the devil to differentiate themselves from the whites in front of their slaves

This dumb shaboozey retard gave this chick a side eye when she said the Carter family invented country.

I don't think it's a big push, it was popular for a second but black people have already moved on from it. It was pretty annoying for a week or two though when they all were going into comment sections talking about "WE'RE TAKING COUNTRY BACK!!".

I seen some older black lady in a youtube comment section wigging out at other commenters telling them that black people IN FACT did NOT invent country. I would say she was based but based people don't spend hours arguing with literally whos in youtube comment sections over bullshit. It was pretty funny nevertheless.

They put the 'cunt' in country

Zulu, like all indigenous Southern African languages, was not a written language until contact with missionaries from Europe, who documented the language using the Latin script. The first grammar book of the Zulu language was published in Norway in 1850 by the Norwegian missionary Hans Schreuder.

Were Norwegian missionaries brown then?

TND

country music is to celtic music what spanish is to latin

stealth BBC thread dont reply

This

yeah the Carters were good but they owe everything to ol' Jigaboo Jackson...

It's always like this.

don't think it's a big push, it was popular for a second but black people have already moved on from it

Evidently not given all the current articles and discussion about how whites "stole" country music

bluegrass directly sounds like scotch-Irish folk music

WE WUZ

These people need to be killed.

Crazy how the left killed the whole "music is for everyone it's meant to bring people together" hippie-idea and now all music genres are battlegrounds for this culture war bs

shaboopy isnt even african american, that nigga a nigerian. Also a one hit wonder

muh left

if anything rightoids like you brought racism and division into music scenes where before everybody was getting along

i guarantee you look up an artist's political beliefs before listening to them

That's more a leftist thing these days hence the whole "you can't separate the art from the artist" attitude

Yes.

So at what point did white people "steal" country music from blacks? And why didn't blacks care about white making country music until now?

There’s some black influence on early country music, with the banjo, blues, certain songs, and a secondhand influence through minstrelry. Artists like the Carter Family, Bill Monroe, Bob Wills and Hank Williams played with black musicians, and Jimmie Rodgers and Jimmie Davis recorded with blacks before the color line came down in jazz and pop music. No one “invents” music though. European concert hall and brass marching bands and mass produced European instruments influenced New Orleans jazz, and the earliest recorded “jass” band was white, but whites didn’t “invent” jazz.

My guess would be Hank Williams incorporating blues into country and changing the genre.

yes we know. sane people know that artists are always influenced by something. it's only incels that are screeching about blacks doing literally anything, and in this case it's country. funny thing too because shaboozey is actually writing good country whereas white people country has been in toby keith "hurrr durrrr big truck cold beer" stasis for 20 years now.

Pathetic cracker chuds are incapable of making good music so they have to steal genres like Country, Rock n Roll and Jazz from Black people who actually know how to write good music

Townes Van Zandt

Stole all his music from Black people

Willie Nelson

Waylon Jennings

Someone pour me up a double shot of whiskey

They know me and Jack Daniel's got a history

There's a party downtown near 5h street

Everybody at the bar getting tipsy

How is that different than the Toby Keith "hurrr durrrr big truck cold beer" shit as you put it? Does the fact that Shaboozey is black make it suddenly better to you?

And why didn't blacks care about white making country music until now?

Until recently, no self respecting black American would admit to liking country music, apart from guilty pleasures like “The Devil Went Down to Georgia”. It’s just their we wuzzing side now of the meatheaded culture wars.

they perfected it

lolno nobody except some boomers were duped by this fat hipster fuck. i instantly knew what he was.

Country, as well as most American music, is derived from Scottish folk shit
And yes that includes the traditionally black genres too
Music tradition in the US is Scottish

nice revisionism faggot. Anon Babbletroons were spamming him for a week straight when the song came out. y'all got hoodwinked and it's not going to be forgotten

This is racist neo-nazi propaganda

I was taught that in a college course lmao

go drink a bottle of bleach newfag

Your college was run by neo-nazi fascists. Black people invented the guitar and all guitar based genres of music and then whites stole their ideas

Black people invented all music and if you think otherwise youre a racist who should rot in hell

Black people invented Midwest emo?

Yes they were playing that kind of music in the Mississippi Delta back in the 1920s

Country, like most American cultures, is a tangled mutt mess. British Isles folk is the main stock, but there’s a strong black influence, French from Louisiana and Spanish in the southwest, waltzes and polkas from Central Europe, Hawaiian guitars, Swiss modelers, northern commercial songwriters…. As much as I love the old raw stuff, it was never some Anglo-Celtic artifact preserved in amber up some Appalachian holler.
But yeah, there’s Scottish influence in black southern music, like lining out hymns for example. Some of the authentic Negro music that Dvorak mined for his New World Symphony is note for note Scottish melodies.

no argument

lmao

screeching about blacks doing literally anything

But it's you kvetching about Whites "stealing" country music
