nah I listen to a fair amount of normie-adjacent shit like radiohead, tame impala, etc.; I've just noticed that a lot of the better stuff isn't on the first couple pages if you're searching by genres
yeah the current "community" on rym is nightmarishly bad, still one of the better resources to find music though
