the vines were alright. they didn't fit the "saviours of rock and roll" tag, but they didn't deserve the shit they got from everyone. had a couple of solid deep cuts that i really like.

i am very well aware. i feel sorry for craig, the guy was making demos from the comfort of his own home, then gets taken out and dropped into unfamilliar territory; not exactly the best move for someone with autism. i believe he still lives with his family to this day, and his lawyer sisters take care of the management side of his life.
There were still a lot of kids coming from decent upbringings that had to be convinced they were gay. Made for easily some of the emptiest, boring self-aggrandizing anthems to be played repeatedly in social settings and sell ipods. Fuck the indie rock revival and I really mean that.
