It is fun although it can be frustrating if youre trying to not suck

Bros I'm feeling so glum rn... I was at a local music store (gc), and I was in the acoustic room when a bunch of chicks came in and where giggling and kept looking over at me when I was tuning by ear. I could tell I turned bright red and my mind was racing. I acted like I had a phone call as a reason to leave the room. I have agoraphobia and a fear of strangers and it's just so hard to even get guitar supplies without having to be assaulted for my disabilities. Sweetwater is even worse because unexpected phone calls make me go into fight or flight.

It's all right lad. Just think what Jerry Garcia would do and you'll be right as rain. I can't relate because I'm a social savant(got an A+ in public speaking) but I feel for what you have to go through.

Never really played in a band, gonna have to get a bass amp if I decide to. Mostly I've just been fucking around on rocksmith and learning some songs here and there that way.

I should probably strive to change that soon, and actually learn everything to the instrument.

the most important thing to remember is shred is cringe. nobody cares if you play fast except literal autistic manchildren. learn to play like keith richards and neil young and you will have more success at the instrument

Boss basically invented the Chorus pedal, so it's kind of the default to measure everything else by. It's not pricey (if not the Waza version), but I'm sure that Harley Benton is still a third of the price, if not cheaper.

My brain isn't wired to write or improvise either. Took me years to figure out my arthritis and other physiological issues make me incapable of playing beyond a certain skill level so I mostly just fiddle with the ones I've had since I started. If I hear a song I try to see how much of it I can play or I'll try to transcribe a melody from something else. It's just something I do occasionally
