Where’s the lie? There are no memorable songs from the last decade. They’re made to have 50 million views in youtube and are completely forgotten in a month. The one exception maybe Kanye, and that’s only because his songs are basically outsider art at this point, not because they’re particularly good.

He uses whatever talent he can trick the world into thinking he has to give himself a platform, which he uses to surround himself with people who are VASTLY more talented than him, while acting as an authority on matters he has next to no business talking about. I really hate his livestreams. I'm not going to sit through a 30+ minute video for a topic that could be condensed into less than 10.

He legit was a professional producer so I don't know what your problem is. Maybe he wasn't producing a-list artists but he was still good enough to make a living doing it so he clearly knows what he's talking about. If he was doing top tier acts then he'd never make a youtube channel since he'd be retired.
Let's put it this way. A very successful producer of music that sold by the millions would not be interested in doing YT vids for the masses. Too busy enjoying the view to his pool.
