Thank god the beatles are breaking up. Fucking teen pop twerps

That album was released in 1967.
You're two years too late.

Christgau launches Consumer Guide this year. Fuck.

It's kind of like Cream meets Te Grateful Dead, but from Florida.
I wonder if Eric Clapton knows about these guys?

It’s one of the shittest sounding albums ever, all mixes of it are terrible, the drums sound like someone hitting a box

This is 1969, and what the fuck is THIS?

Getting really sick of all these birchtards shitting up the board

What do you expect from 1967 technology?
It's 1969, and production quality is much better now.
Stop living in the past, man.
Besides, Cream broke up, and it's now Blind Faith, so why do you care?

Hey, man, is anybody going to White Lake, Mew York for the big three day music festival in August?
I've already got my tickets, but have no way of getting there.
I don't have money to pitch in for gas, but I have plenty of sheets of brown blotter LSD that's supposed to be really good and strong.
It's supposed to start on August 15th, and go through the 18th.
Man, I hope the weather will be good, and it doesn't rain.

DUDE

Really digging Scott Walker's sinatra arc

Kevin Ayers left Soft Machine.

Anybody hear the new Beach Boys album, 20/20?
Man, I thought Good Vibrations was out there, but Cabinessence just totally blows it away.

However, I think the best song is Never Learn Not To Love.
I think this song is killer.
It's going to be #1 with a bullet..
Maybe I'm just taking a stab in the dark here, but it might be one of the best songs they ever wrote.

I have not given this new band "King Crimson" a spin yet, but the album cover looks horrid. Most probably music we'll never hear about again in a few year's time

I keep hearing the fest is going to be a disaster and the promoters have no idea what they’re doing. Best to stay away. Besides, I’d rather not have to live in a field of smelly hippies for 3 days.

AND I STOOD THERE
SHIVERING IN MY PAJAMAS
WATCHED THE WHOLE WORLD GO UP IN FLAMES
AND WHEN IT WAS ALL OVER...

I don't know where you got your information from, but The Beatles are not breaking up.
In fact, they've got a new album out, and they just did a live concert, which will either be televised, or released as a movie.
I know this for a fact, because I actually met John Lennon and Yoko the other day in Greenwich Village.
I was hanging out in Washington Square Park, and I saw John and Yoko walking down MacDougal Street, and went up to them.
He handed me an advance copy of their new album for free, and told me to record it and give it out to all of my friends.
He also told me that George Martin didn't produce it, but they got a new producer named Glan Johns or something like that.
I just listened to it, and it's totally different from any other Beatles album. It's like you're actually in the studio with them while they record the songs. The new Paul and George songs, Teddy Boy, and All Things Must Pass are going to be big hits.
John and Yoko are very nice people who care about their fans.
He also told me that The Beatles were going to be more politically active, and start publicly taking a stand on protesting the war in Viet Nam, and equal rights for black people.
When this album is finally released, I encourage everybody to get a copy.

Yeah they're kind of in a slump but I'm still expecting great things in the next decade

NO ONE CARES GIL!

I don't think so.
This looks professional, and I'm sure they've taken everything under consideration. And besides, look at that line up.
I'm a huge Jeff Beck fan, and always wanted to see him live.

Perfect album, I can't wait to hear their next one

Actually, I like this album, but I can tell you from personal experience that the next one is going to blow this one out of the water.
You won't be disappointed.
Check out. and get this album when it's released.
It feels so cozy and personal, like you're actually in the studio with them.
It may be the best album they ever made, so far.

Holy Fuck. I just saw these dudes in SF a couple of weeks ago and they absolutely blew me away. My buddy taped the show

Much weaker than Folsom Prison or Greatest Hits, which is where to start if you're just getting into Cash. Only ten songs, one of which is performed twice. Another was written by Bob Dylan. C+

I saw Paul McCartney at a grocery store in Campbeltown yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for autographs or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Astro Pops in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the suckers and rang the price of fifteen of them into the register, he stopped her and told her to enter each price individually “to prevent any mechanical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she charged each sucker and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

yeah, Folsom is the better album, but I think A Boy Named Sue is actually kinda funn, plus it took a lot of guts to play a song like that in front of a lot of hardened criminals serving a life sentence.
OK, maybe shouting SOOWEE in the middle of Folsom Prison Blues while playing at Folsom Prison was a bit more gusty, but I think A Boy Named Sue is a good song.

Based Paul McCartney

Our vibes have changed the world man. The hippy revolution is never going to end. We're gonna free everyone's minds dude!!

Trump has stated that "Is That All There Is?", singer Peggy Lee's 1969 hit about alcoholic depression, is one of his favorite songs. "It's how I view life," he said. "I'm always looking for the next challenge and asking myself 'Is this all there is?'"

still 29 years until Chappell Roan is born. enjoy it while it lasts.

I do not understand your post.
It makes no sense.
Are you alright?
Do you need help?
Have you been smoking those funny cigarettes, and putting those funny sugar cubes in your coffee?

This was Lieber and Stoller's only success as "adult" songwriters, the rest of their efforts basically went over like a lead balloon.

She seems to have lost a step or two in the vocal department since the old days. Also seems to be increasingly doing a country intonation on here.

is this gonna be another shitty FOTM blues rock album? sure looks like it.

These guys are supposed to be "the New Yardbirds" but they sound like a third rate Cream and the singer is trying too hard to sound like Steve Marriot. Where's Jeff Beck when you need him...

Why don't these pop stars ever cover the REAL good shit The Beatles did, like Tomorrow Never Knows?

Everything these new “rock bands” make is so long and boring. The Flamin’ Groovies are literally the only band still making real rock and roll music.
