Some interesting riffs but its structurally lacking, the songs just go nowhere. It's just so forgettable, the artwork is more memorable than the music

The album in the post you responded to is widely considered their best; if you don't like that one, then they're just not for you I guess. I personally like it because they seem to deftly wield riffs with melody that is, as you say, interesting. Not my favorite band by any means, but they are enjoyable imo.

there are many funeral doom albums of similar quality. I'm not really gonna spoon feed you, find them yourself but go through mournful congregations discography if you haven't already, they are top tier, especially the incubus of karma and the new eps
