I get why they were so successful. I also get why they fell off so hard. Between the aweful album covers, Staphs insistence on sticking to his odd voice as hard as he does, and the occassional cringe lyric, I'm not at all surprised they fell off

Post grunge is something I'll never understand because it tries to be two oppositional things.

It wants to be "big" and "stadium" like hair metal, but it also wants to be "emo" and "introspective" like grunge, seems like it only pleases music fans who don't know other either thing exists.

Creed is a fun band. They put on a good show, they made good songs before they broke up, Weathered is a pretty alright album. Human Clay on the other hand is a waste of time. Higher, and What If are the only good tracks, the rest of that hour would be better spend on other music. I'd also say Breaking Benjamin>Nickelback>Three Doors Down>Creed, Buttrock is not the best genre in the world but the hate it gets from soillenials is completely undeserved. Way better than the bitch rock they made in the early 2010s
