I started to dig through nip hc from the old days and it really is amazing how absolute garbage their vocals are. Bigger fucking filter than King diamond. They have some great bands though, e.g. I really like Swankys and The comes (those screeching vocals are absolutely hilarious but I can't not love them). Also I really like that short Sex imagination drugs EP. And a bunch of other shit. Been meaning to get back into going through all this shit but I'm too preoccupied with being an alcoholic and listening to the same shit over and over again. Oh well!

but yeah i hear you on the vocals, but their hardcore was good enough the vocals didn't matter much honestly. kuro singer sounds like he swallowed the microphone, it's great in its own way i guess.

Great fucking bands, especially Death side. I'm still baffled how they released such long albums as a hc punk band without it getting boring as fuck and filled with fillers. Most metal bands can't manage to do that.

chelsea was a great guitarist, that's why. honestly kinda wasted his talent on hardcore punk, he explored more in paintbox when he was still alive, but i think he was cut from the heavy metal cloth, same as the Ghöul guitarist and Randy Uchida in GISM.

Also from the newer batch I really like Think again. On a couple of songs the vocalist goes absolutely insane with the vocals. And I love those solos. SOVL incarnate. You can tell they love what they are doing. Honestly one of the reasons I picked up a guitar (which I haven't touched in a month because 1. I wasn't home for 10 days 2. my guitar was part of my Halloween decoration which no one saw because everyone said sorry but I have to work, can't make it and 3. That's the thing, I have goals but I always get tempted by the booze. Every time I put this shit down and progress I fall back on "hmm well it would be nice to have two beers just to relax". But there is no such thing as two beers. Once I start I have to go all the way out. Guess this is what's called being an addict. But even if I go out and try to socialize I just can't do it, I need a couple drink to morph into a normalfag. Plus if you abstain yourself you will be just constantly thinking about MUST NOT DRINK MUST NOT DRINK and what fucking life is that? I know I have no self control I just have to at least try to control it.

i know dude, thinking about not drinking is as addicting as drinking itself, why many people replace the booze with religion (or other drugs), but that is just replacing one addiction with another and will not solve it. it's a shitty situation.
for me what really made me snap out of it was noisecore and fishing (getting out in the woods), eventually i got control over it. i for sure got more boring as i don't go out and party like i used to, but oh well, don't really miss it either.
i hope you will get through it one day anon, i'm cheering for you. remember it is not impossible but takes some effort and a lot of willpower, but you can do it if you want to.
