Would you buy a guitar kit?

imagine the smell

These really aren't that great or long lasting. For a pack of these I can get 3 packs of regular daddario or ernie ball phosphor-bronze strings and they'll last longer in total and provide fresh sound for a longer time

get 3 packs of regular daddario

Yeah I'm pretty sure this is what we are supposed to do. They also have the white package with paperclip, those are at least coated, they supposedly last longer.

XT is also their coating, maybe just a thinner coating, dunno

The XT coating delivers advanced corrosion resistance, while still retaining the warm tone and natural feel of the uncoated string. Beneath the coating, these XT acoustic strings are constructed with a NY Steel core, phosphor bronze wrap wire, and Fusion Twist technology, affording tonal versatility with added resilience, excellent for a wide range of acoustic styles.

Going to try out the white XS series and if they're also underwhelming then I'll just feel ripped off and continue buying regular strings.

XS Phosphor Bronze strings have the longest life of any D’Addario acoustic guitar string. The XS coating gives our warm, balanced phosphor bronze strings maximum life, with an uncommonly smooth feel.

I'll believe it when I see it

own a mesa boogie blue angel

own a hx stomp

can put use effects loop swap countless preamps

can use blue angel to switch between 6v6 or el-84

playing live people see a mesa boogie and don't assume I'm a poorfag

Life is okay

he fell for it

Many such cases, its like pottery

XLs are the good ones that really last long.
XTs last a bit less.

wait, meant XS, not XL.

B(ased) C Rich

Tfw dropped this up to be setup in D standard for recording and the LGS has had it for over a week now.

I know they are busy but DAMn I just want to play RIFFS

johnny-rod.jpg - 1080x1350, 170.17K

The only Fender shorty worth a damn.

The only good BC Rich shapes are the Bich and the Mockingbird with the classic shaped headstock
The rest of the pointy crap is garbo
t. edgelord metalhead

feels bad mang

snibetisäd.jpg - 225x225, 11.2K

Looks cool, not cooler than a Jag though

Just inferior to a Jaguar in every way.

more like bustang

hardtail and 3 way

called a Mustang and not a Duo-Sonic

who at fender loves the Mustang name so much?

cuz everytime I play it I be bustang

I used to have one many moons ago, was the first "real" guitar i ever bought after getting my life together
sick guitars

Are squire jags any good?

CV is worth the money but you will have to put a real jag trem in it if you want it to be stable. Don't fall for the mastery meme.

swamp ass special lol

which one are you looking at. the Contemporary Jag is a good guitar but not a good Jag. the Affinity is the bullet of Jags. squier 70's Jag is more accurate than the MIMs for some fucking reason.

I own pic related. Bought it used so i can't say how good it was out of the box. Bought a Mustang bridge for it. Otherwise it plays really good. I'd like to update the pu's and the trem but that would be much more expensive than the whole guitar.
I'm looking for an exact Fender model but nobody sells some close enough from here. They all come in ugly colours or with simplified circuits. Same for Jazzmasters.

what do all of those little buttons do anyways

the three switches on the bottom are your pickup selector, top to bottom it should be neck, bridge, then a high pass filter
on the top there's switch for the rhythm/lead circuit, and a tone and volume dials for the rhythm circuit

the first two of three switches on the lower horn are the pickup on/off switches.
third switch is midrange cut.
the switch on the top horn isolates the neck pickup and puts it through different resistance potentiometers (the two rollers above the bridge pickup) and darkens the tone.

Why don't they just take popular squier upgrades and sell them as lower level fenders? The offsets are either "fix it yourself fag" or "we took parts out of it" all the way up to MIA.

What's the point of relic guitars? Why would someone spend $1000 extra for a beat to shit guitar?

Learn songs that you like to play every time you pick up the instrument. Play so consistently that the songs become harder to mess up than to perform. How else are you going to get past your own ego? You're paying for a captive audience to judge you. Do your own diligence and master the music. That involves some grind time.

it's posershit. they want it to look like vintage shit that people actually used without putting in the time.

Bought a Mustang bridge for it.

good start might as well keep upgrading bro

just buy a guitar with a half assed finish and it'll look roadworn quickly

I have never seen anyone with a Meteora or the Bass. And yet they keep coming out? Whoever made this must be giving the CEO insane head, or has a wife that is.

wtf_is_this.png - 949x551, 425.98K

I posted one the other day. I like it better than the Ultra because of Fiesta Red..and they made custom pickups for these.

IMG_0075.jpg - 1500x2000, 1.41M

To make money. I'd drag a guitar on the ground too if I'm getting several hundred dollars for it.

The necks feel amazing on them. Not thousands of dollars worth, but absolutely $500 worth. Even my worn in guitars don't feel the same as 3,000 Fender relics.

anybody have a baritone acoustic? do you use it much compared to standard ones?

finally put out an American made Meteora

only has godawful ugly uncovered pickups

pickup covers

$15

The best thing about them is the quartersawn neck and ebony (on some), but the Player Plus is a steal for the price it goes for. They were very cheap around Christmas especially. The pickups are basically redesigned Shawbuckers, I think. They also have a trem vs Ultra's hardtail and a few better colors. If they did all of that for the Ultra, it'd be way better.

This is pretty good dude, especially for fucking around with a Youtube track.

what is the simplest computer based music editor? I can record fine with what I have and know but the next step to make my tracks better I need to be able to clean up the tracks and stuff. Just things like compression, loudness, noise filter stuff like that. Pulling up audacity and the the like is daunting as hell for me.

or is there an analog multitrack recorder out there that I can get close to studio quality fidelity from? Less computer stuff I have to learn the better lol

Obviously Reaper, the next logical step from Audacity

Most straightforward and intuitive interface, but there's not really anything you could not do with Reaper as you can it use it on "expert" level too like in some pro studio setting

Marks are the king of amps. Niggas don't even know.

Congrats bro you are the first person I've seen to actually own one. qrd on the pickups?

Still Fender-y for humbuckers. If you've heard shawbuckers, they're similar. The S-1 switch paired with these is nice too. It's not a perfect single coil sound, but it's one of the better setups and makes for a versatile guitar.
