Jefferson Airplane is definitely the greatest band of the 1960s

Jefferson Airplane is definitely the greatest band of the 1960s.

That's not the Doors.

more like all time. more like greatest music of all time. actual deities.

Nah its either Cream, Blue Cheer, or Barrett Floyd depending on the day and mood

White Rabbit is so overplayed in movies and tv shows that I'm sick of hearing it, wasn't a fan of it that much to begin with but constant exposure makes it worse. Hate Grace Slick's shrill voice.

The Kinks are the greatest band of the '60s

When they took this picture the woman was married to the drummer and fucking the guitarist in the sidelines.

GOAT

Weight is the only good song they ever did, Rest of their catologue is bland and lame af.

Absolutely repugnant taste. Big Pink is better than any album by any band in this thread

QUADS OF TRUTH
(VU that is)

THE NIIIIIIGHT THEY DROVE OL DIXIE DOWN

Boy band

this is the worst misspelling of the Beach Boys I've ever seen

Bitch Boys

They're not even in the top 10 bands of the 60s

For me it's the 13th Floor Elevators.
Somebody to Love > White Rabbit

Calls Jefferson Airplane "Boy Band'

Main singer is a WOMAN!

he doesn’t know

What is it I don't know?
That Marty Balin sang most of the songs on Jefferson Airplane Takes Off?
Yeah, I know that Marty Balin sang just as many songs as Grace Slick.

Or was it something else?

Surrealistic Pillow was one of my first like 10 albums I loved. That moving pictures, led zeppelin 2, abbey road, dark side of the moon, Tommy, Master of Reality (and paranoid), shit was pure back then still love all of these but listen to a lot of shit now

How would you guys rank these albums?

fpbp

More like the Dorks.

somebody to love is one of my favorite songs desu

Boy band doesn't need to literally be all men, it just means a group that does generic pop music meant to appeal to teenage girls

i dont dislike the JA but among hippiecore picrel mogs all of their albums.

the greatest band of the 1960s.

for me, it's the grateful dead (although they peaked in 1970, live/dead is the greatest rock album of all time)

Mother of god, there I am! Holy fuck.

lumineers or mumford & sons stomp clap hey civil war reenactment tier slop

The bitch is now 85
The remaining of these guys are so old now

By that logic, The Partidge Family, and The DeFranco Family were "Boybands".

Ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous.....

Plus, The Jefferson Airplane did NOT appeal to teenage girls, nor were they "Generic pop music".
I mean, have you ever REALLY listened to a whole Jefferson Airplane album?
OK, Somebody to Love, and White Rabbit get overplayed on the "Classic Rock" stations, but, seriously, listen to the first four studio albums.
Shit if you think this is "Generic pop music" I shudder to think what your opinion is of Moby Grape, or Quicksilver Messenger Service.

I would've given you the usual Sammy Davis Jr. "Patrician Spotted" meme, but you seem to forget the fact that most of The Jefferson Airplane is on this album.

However, this was a super group that more than deserved the title.

WE BUILT THIS CITY

Essential car wash core

This. Holy fuck. That other anon is retarded.

This is the most retarded thing I've ever read on this goonposting-infested board.

although they peaked in 1970,

Based fellow '70 appreciator!! Everything from '69 up to the first half of '73 with Bear's Choice is amazing.

This entire board was created by a goon

i used to have a huge crush on Grace Slick. Comin Back to Me always felt like depressive core back when i was into the lp when i was 13
