Nu-metal

post recs, favorite albums, favorite bands.
pimp by clown is my rec
they're like a mix of korn with deftones

Never heard this but I liked the album art. Gotta let it sink in a bit more but it's cool. Cold's 13 Ways to Bleed album is one of my favorites

my second rec is acid blitz, they only have around 4 or 5 songs in total but, they're good trust me.

is numetal dead now?
Does this need a separate from the /metal/ general?

Listen to Celtic Frost instead.

it is weird to hear this band that sounds like the bands you listed but something about it sounds kinda tryhard, like they don't really believe it themselves.

I'm not gay so no thanks.

Try hard in what way? I thought they sounded pretty good.

I listened to like 80% of the record and I think it is in the vocal delivery. The dude sounds like he is trying very hard to sound like other popular vocalists. A little bit of Fred here, some Jonathan there, don't forget Corey, Chino, maybe even that POD dude. Also did I just hear him say the niggerword? Kek.

third rec is "Flipzyde"
honestly, they kinda suck, but, and this is a big but, their vocalist is really good shouting/screaming so it more then makes up for it. If I were to recommend any album from them, I'd have to choose "Electro.Pop.Metal", as it's the only one where it seemed like they actually put on their serious hat and tried.

Yet nu-metal is the gayest genre there is... curious...

Fair enough that's why I said they were pretty much a korn/deftones lite, regardless I thought it wasn't bad.

Also did I just hear him say the niggerword?

it was a different time

fourth rec
The Mad Capsule Markets (Japanese band)
A little bit of skater punk, a little bit of digital hardcore, and of course nu-metal, the vocals can be a bit weak at times but all in all, they're a pretty solid band, my personal favorite album is "010" released in 2001, they're most popular album by far though is "OSC-DIS" released in 1999.

Is New found power a numetal band:

Is New found power a numetal band:

The average IQ of a nu-metal fan (can't figure out the name of the band).

These album covers are absolutely terrible lmao.

their appearances are terrible too

the only good slipknot album

this
they need more leather, jock straps, and hairy muscles to get me aroused.

This, along with hybrid theory, reanimation, and meteora.

In my defense, "New found power" was the only album that damageplan ever released, and im sleep deprived rn

anyways, is it a nu metal album?

I listened to the s/t the other day the whole way through after some years. While obviously very front-loaded, the B-sides are still very enjoyable. Scissors especially was a great closer.

Only the 3rd one you quoted is questionable, the other 3/4 are fine

i like the fourth one, it reminds me of invader zim.

Is (this) godsmack (song) nu-metal?

I Fucking Hate You

I only found a few of their stuff memorable, this one is my favorite. its pretty good. When I heard it I expected the rest of their stuff to be more agressive.

I never watched the show, but this is why I think the covers are fine. They are clearly going for a specific visual aesthetic.

a mix of both alt-metal and nu-metal.

If you guys think that cover looks remotely like anything by Jhonen Vasquez you both clearly like any form of aesthetic sensibility lmao!!!

neckbeard metal elitists are always so bitter and salty

is numetal dead now?

Does this need a separate from the /metal/ general?

How different is nu-metal from other heavy metal? Is it really a separate genre, like some peopel say?

I actually liked a lot of the songs on this album.

Because nu-metal includes rap in their vocals, which is taboo in the metal community.

no hate for early slipknot. they are ok but still... very annoying
but yeah scissors kicks ass

Probably the best of underground nu metal, kinda reminds a bit of Korn and slowed-down Static-X, but these guys have a sound of their own.

dubstep

yeah its a groove, nu and etc. metal. that's really confusing

like and subscribe

Kek, one time I left a YouTube comment recommending this band to a guy and it got removed probably because the AI thought I was shilling someone's channel
